	TAU is affiliated with the American Federation of Teachers of Michigan.
	AFT is a wide ranging and powerful national union.
	Over 500 workers on WMU's campuses are organized through AFSCME Local 1668.
	TAU along with AFSCME are part of the AFL-CIO membership of unions.
National -- WMU Local	The Faculty at WMU is represented by the American Association of University Professors.
	The Michigan State Employees Association is a public sector union representing the power plant employees at WMU.
	The Campus Living Wage Coalition is currently involved in negotiations for a campus wide Living Wage for all contracted workers.
	Western Michigan University is a member of the Workers Rights Consortium and the Designated Suppliers Program, both of which were advocated by the WMU chapter of United Students Against Sweatshops.
